Faculties and Supporting Services

The College operates with five faculties and a Business Development And Consultancy Centre:

o Credit Management Faculty
o Treasury Management Faculty
o Information Technology Faculty
o Banking Operations Faculty
o Human Resource and Marketing Faculty
o Business Development & Consultancy Centre

The five faculties undertake training and also participate in the consultancy and research programmes of the Consultancy Centre.

In addition to coordinating research and consultancy assignments of the College, the Consultancy Centre has responsibility for new business development, relationship management and interventions in Micro-finance And Micro, Small And Medium Scale Enterprise (MSME) Development. Various studies in Ghana indicate that MSMEs represent approximately 90% of the businesses registered in the country. Their growing importance is seen in the growing number of banks creating dedicated units for MSMEs to support the work of the micro-finance institutions who are under-resourced and require significant capacity building in funding and human capital development.

The objective here therefore is to improve the capacity of financial sector institutions to appreciate the peculiar funding needs of the MSME sector through carefully packaged training programmes. Entrepreneurship and enterprise to develop programmes will also be developed to better equip MSME managers to operate efficiently and profitably through improved systems to ensure lower default rates regarding credit advanced to the sector.

The auxiliary services of the College provide administrative and logistical support to the faculties. They comprise Library Services, Accounts, Transport and General Services.

The primary goal is to disseminate the results of scholarly activity to a broad audience consisting of academic faculty and bank administrators, business executives, consultants, development specialists and governmental managers.
