The Principal
:
 

Mr P. K. Buabeng is the faculty member and the Principal of National Banking College. He is a product of the University of Ghana with a B.A (Hons), BL (Ghana Law School) and an MBA (Finance). As a professional banker (ACIB-UK) Mr Buabeng has over 10 years experience in banking operations. He worked with BHC in the initial stages of his career before moving to the National Investment Bank, where he served in various capacities most of which were in the management of the various branches of the bank.

Credit Management Faculty:

Mrs Dontoh Biney has over twenty-one years of experience in the banking industry where she was involved in project management, treasury management, financial, operational, procedural and management analysis and audit within a development and commercial banking environment. She has been widely consulted to conduct various reviews and analyses at senior levels for both large and small-scale commercial ventures. Mrs Dontoh-Biney was a deputy chief manager at Bank For Housing and Construction and was involved in projects, housing finance and also treasury activities and audit. She holds a B.Sc Administration (Accounting) and an MBA Finance degree from the University of Ghana.


Human Resource Faculty:

Mr Mawusi has over fifteen years experience in Human Resource Management and development in both the public and private sectors. He has experience in all aspects of Human Resource Management with keen interest in industrial relations, training and development, management organizational audit, salary administration, performance management and institutional development. Mr Mawusi brings a wealth of experience to his delivery having worked in the civil service, in manufacturing and in the mining industries. He has wide experience in the design, development and presentation of training programs. He has considerable experience and skills in union negotiations and labour relations. Mr Mawusi holds a B.A. in Sociology with Philosophy , BL( Ghana Law School ) and an M.Phil in Industrial Sociology from the University Of Ghana and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Ghana Institute For Management And Public Administration (GIMPA).


Treasury Management Faculty:

Mr Anin-Kofi Addo is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with substantial Wall Street experience. He holds an A.B. (Bachelors) Degree in Economics from Harvard University, an MBA in Finance from the Columbia Business School in New York, and an M.A. in Pure Mathematics from City College of New York. Mr Addo worked as an equity research analyst for Wall Street brokerage firms W.R. Lazard & Company, Tucker Anthony, Inc., Smith Barney, Harris Upham, and Argus Research Corporation. He was also a Chief Investment Officer at Africanus & Company with portfolio management responsibilities over high networth accounts. Prior to his appointment as a faculty member, Mr Addo was performing economic and financial consultancy services for the Ministry of Economic Planning & Regional Co-operation and Gold Coast Securities Limited both in Accra, Ghana.


Information Technology:

Mr. Allassani is an Information & Communications Technology professional with a good banking background. He Started his career as a banker with the National Savings and Credit Bank and Bank for Housing and construction. He worked in areas like branch banking, foreign operations, credit management for 10years before moving into IT. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Greenwich School of management and an MBA in Information Technology from Lincoln University all in the UK. He worked in various sections of the IT department of the Standard Chartered bank, such as the ATM Systems, Service delivery and Data Center. His expertise in IT include, Data Communication and Networking, IT Security, Project Management, Database Management Systems and IT Auditing. He is also a trained journalist.


Business Development:

Mr Brantuo has twelve years experience in the financial services sector in Ghana having worked in various capacities in two banks and a discount house mainly in corporate finance, asset management, brokerage and credit management roles. He has played a key part in the development of the capital market becoming a member of the Council of the Ghana Stock Exchange in his capacity as the President of the Ghana Stockbrokers Association. As manager for corporate banking at First Atlantic Merchant Bank Limited, he was responsible for the management of the bank’s credit portfolio and marketing activities to corporate customers. He also managed the bank’s private banking business after a stint as manager for strategic planning and research. At the National Banking College, he has responsibility for the development of new training relationships and coordinating the consultancy centre as well as faculty research activities. He has specific responsibility for enterprise development including SME credit and has been involved in delivering such programmes for various donor projects including the German development agency, GTZ, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Africa Project Development Facility (APDF) of the World Bank Group. Mr Brantuo holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Finance from the University of Ghana. He is a professional banker, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Ghana.


Administrator:

Christiana Allotey holds a BA (Hon) degree in Social Science from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and an MBA Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana.

She has several years of diverse management experience providing innovative leadership in people management, financial analysis and resource allocation. Prior to joining the National Banking College, she worked with MEL Consulting Limited and Opoku, Andoh & Co., Chartered Accountants.
