What is the aim of this course?

Word processing skills are no longer the preserve of the professional secretary. In the current information age, some tasks can just not be delegated. The high flying young achiever and the established executive can best harness Internet resources, for instance, through personal research and exploration of valuable knowledge pools as well as maintain key contacts through e-mail technology. These useful activities are best done with minimal waste of time with good word processing skills.

This course seeks to achieve such objectives through transfer of knowledge and skills based on the most widely used word processing software available, Microsoft Word.

  What is the aim of this course?

Good quality data is critical to the survival of the modern business. Using a relational database framework based on the popular PC database application Microsoft Access, key database management skills are taught to participants. The choice of course structure hinges on the premise that most modern commercial database systems operate on the principles of relational technology. Banking applications are no exception. Thus the course seeks to develop a deeper insight into the workings of several applications used by participants on the job whilst equipping them with the practical skills to create their own database systems on the Microsoft Access platform to meet their peculiar needs. Some programming skills are also impacted through the use of Visual Basic Programming tools.
